Nothing against Warner, But...

I appreciate a good test innings and I have no doubt that Warner is Australia's answer to Sehwag in tests. Yet, he knew and so did Mark taylor when they both were shaking hands that another man deserved it. Even if the OZzzzz losing as many as 16 tests in the last four years does not tell you, Katich incident does not tell you, this surely proves that Cricket Australia has lost it. Using Apps to get the MOM may look good to a group of marketing buffs, fans buying and paying to get the word in is not helping cricket. Let somethings be as they are, you can continue asking ridiculous questions like "Will ponting make 25 today?".
So the bottom line is
"Dear CA, Do not mess with the real cricket stuff!!!"

Anna Vs IPL

The most amazing campaign against corruption started by Anna Hajare has to face its biggest nemesis yet. Anna is running a game changing campaign against corruption where he is proposing his version of the lok pal bill. The cynics are asking whether it is like giving power to the common man to control the juggernaut of the corrupt or creating another layer in the multi layered corrupt system. Either ways it is a campaign that is fired by the social networks and going by what has happened in Egypt and Libya, the social network seems to have in to prevail and succeed.

After starting with so much hype, the campaign now has to encounter the IPL. With the success of the ICC WC 2011, the cricket mania may take the viewers away from an old fasting individual to a more entertaining Dhoni or a Yuvraj. Anna has to face a big challenge in the form of IPL, a phenomenon that kills bollywood and TV serials.

The lack of focus and forgiving/forgetting nature of the indian public is what allows the corrupt to thrive in India. Can the IPL take away our attention or the 73 year old keep us engaged to wash away the dirt?

We will know soon..........

Sehwag needs to do it for Delhi

With scores of 42, 21,7 & 11 that Sehwag has delivered at home in his four appearances, the home crowd is eagerly looking forward to something special. For a player of the calibre of Sehwag, one has the feeling that this anomaly is just a mere coincidence and waiting to be set right. What better opportunity than a WC 2011 match against minnows Dutch?

Definitely a well planned innings is on the cards on the lines of the series opener against Bangladesh. Sehwag has to watch out the initial edginess shown against the brits & irish and try for 200.

Chak De India and all the best Viroo
